1. Ingredients and Health Benefits
  • What ingredients do you use?
    We use 100% plant-based, organic, high-quality ingredients, free from artificial colors and preservatives.

  • Are your cakes organic or gluten-free?
    We use organic ingredients for all our cakes. While we do use gluten-free certified ingredients for our gluten-free cakes, there is still a chance of contamination with gluten. Please let us know if you have a gluten allergy.

  • Do you use refined sugar?
    We use only organic cane sugar and the powdered version for our buttercream frosting.

  • Are your cakes keto/paleo-friendly?
    Unfortunately, our cakes aren’t keto/paleo-friendly.

2. Allergies and Food Sensitivities
  • Are your cakes nut-free?
    Since we use coconut oil and almond flour in our cakes, our cakes are not nut-free.

  • Do you accommodate soy-free or grain-free diets?
    We use zero soy in our kitchen, however both our vegan and vegan + gluten-free flour contain grains.

  • How do you prevent cross-contamination?
    We take precautions, but since our kitchen processes nuts and gluten, we cannot guarantee zero cross-contamination. Our gluten-free cakes are made in a separate work space, however, the same oven and tools are utilized for both gluten-free and vegan only cakes. Despite our best efforts to be cautious, there is a risk of cross-contamination.

3. Customization and Special Requests
  • Can I request a specific flavor or ingredient?
    Yes! We offer fully customizable cakes. Contact us to discuss your preferences or fill out our custom cake form on the website plantpastry.com.

  • Do you offer sugar-free or low-calorie cakes?
    At this time we do not offer sugar-free or low-calorie cakes.

  • Can I get a cake with no oil?
    Unfortunately we cannot make our cakes without coconut oil.

4. Ordering and Delivery
  • How far in advance should I order?
    We recommend placing your order at least 7 days in advance. Rush orders may be available for an additional fee.

  • Do you deliver?
    Yes, we offer hand delivery to Jacksonville and St. Augustine, FL areas. The delivery fee will be provided through a separate invoice. Additional fees may apply for longer distances.

  • Can I pick up my order?
    Yes! We will provide pickup instructions after your order is confirmed.

  • What happens if I have to cancel?
    Orders canceled 168 hours/7 days before pickup or delivery date are eligible for a full refund.

5. Storage and Shelf Life
  • How should I store my cake?
    Keep it refrigerated and consume within 3-4 days for the best freshness. Let it sit at room temperature for 15–20 minutes before serving.

  • Can I freeze the cake?
    Yes! Place it in an air-tight container and consume it within 1-2 weeks. Thaw in the fridge overnight before serving. However, we recommend storing it in the fridge if you are sure the cake will be eaten fully within the next 3 days of your event/celebration to maintain the best taste and moist texture.
